Week 1
The first week of training is under my belt. Today is a rest day and round 2 starts tomorrow with another 3 miler. I weighed myself again today and am down about 5 lbs. from where I started. I've been reading Nancy Clark's nutritional guide for active people and trying to eat the way athletes are supposed to. Plus I'm still doing Weight Watchers so am keeping track of my points. So far so good. Yesterday was my cross training day. I was planning to ride the bike but instead, scraped mud off the ceiling in my parent's bedroom for 4 hours. I don't know if I should really count that, but since I didn't get my ass on the bike, I think I will. All in all, it was a pretty successful week. This week my goal is to get all my runs in early - 6 to 7 am. It's too hot out right now to do anything during the day and running at night is sketchy. Last time I almost stomped on a frog.
